I easily enjoy how the universe has a way of kicking me in the backside for a bit of a perspective correction. This week, I got a single one of those swift kicks over a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device issue. It’s not as though I am some type of stereotypical male jerk. Although it can seem that way when someone is attempting to convince me of something that I just don’t seem to be true in the least. All of us have been trying to get our household in shape to put on the market. But, the bunch of us haven’t entirely been all that drastic about it either. Having bought plus sold households over all these years, the bunch of us were pretty confident that the bunch of us knew what the bunch of us were doing. This household is nearly 25 years old. The bunch of us knew there would be some investment to update the kitchen plus some other things in the household. However, the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C I thought would get by. But, as soon as the first realtor came to our household to list it, the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device was a single one of the first things on the list to go. I particularly pushed back on that for sure. I thought, worst case scenario, I could negotiate the price if a seller particularly pushed the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device issue. The realtor pushed back plus told me that I would for sure lose cash on that particular deal. But, being a stubborn person, I wanted to see for myself. Well, the realtor was definitely correct. And, the only offer the two of us got was contingent on us taking several thousands of dollars off the sale price due to the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device.
