I honestly love how the universe has a way of kicking me in the backside for a bit of a perspective correction every once in a while.
This week, I got one of those swift kicks over a Heating plus A/C appliance issue.
It’s not as though I am some sort of stereotypical jerk. Although it can seem that way when somebody is attempting to convince me of something that I just don’t believe to be true. The group of us have been attempting to get our dwelling in shape to put on the market. But, the people I was with and I haven’t been all that serious about it either. Having purchased plus sold dwellings over all these years, the people I was with and I were pretty confident that the people I was with and I knew what the people I was with and I were doing. This dwelling is nearly 25 years old. The group of us knew there would be some investment to upgrade the home office plus a few other things. However, the Heating plus A/C appliance I thought would get by. The group of us upgraded the Heating plus A/C appliance roughly 15 years ago but it was state of the art plus the people I was with and I committed to regular maintenance. It pretty much ran like a champ. But, as soon as the first realtor came to our dwelling to list it, the Heating plus A/C appliance was one of the first things on the list to go. I completely pushed back on that for sure. I figured, worst case scenario, I could negotiate the price if a seller certainly pushed the Heating plus A/C appliance issue. The realtor pushed back plus told me that I would easily lose money on that deal. But, being a stubborn person, I wanted to see this for myself. Well, the realtor was certainly right. There were a bunch of shoppers who simply passed because of the Heating plus A/C appliance. And, the only offer the people I was with and I got was contingent on us taking several thousands of dollars off the sale price due to the Heating plus A/C appliance.
