Got scammed by an HVAC worker online who wasn’t certified

I have to warn you, if you are thinking about getting your HVAC system maintenance from somebody online, you should think again.

  • Unless it’s the official website of different certified HVAC companies in the area, you might find yourself in a bad situation.

It wasn’t very long ago when I was trying to find a cheap HVAC repairman to take care of our HVAC system maintenance. I thought I found a really good deal for the services of an HVAC repair worker, but he ended up being horrible. This guy was really dirty and had a foul smell. I almost didn’t want to let him in my house, but I knew that I had to get my HVAC system working. He did whatever work he did, and then left in a hurry. I tried to get him to wait but he said that he had to get to his next appointment and that everything was great with my HVAC system. I probably shouldn’t have paid him in advance, but I did so foolishly. I quickly found that my HVAC wasn’t working at all after he left. Not only was it not working, but he left the cabinet open and there were missing parts from my HVAC. Even the air filter was missing! He must have shoved everything into his bag and then left me with a non-working HVAC system. When I tried to get a hold of him, the number was disconnected. I learned that I fell for a scam, and when I had a real HVAC worker come out, he was shocked that some very important parts were missing from the HVAC system. I had to pay a fortune to have everything replaced and repaired. Let this be a lesson, don’t trust non-certified HVAC workers online!
