I have just come back from the hospital after getting surgery on my foot.
They gave me some rehab exercises to do. I know from experience that the way that I heal, how fast I heal, and how soon I am able to go back to the activities I used to do before the operation. So I took the rehab exercises seriously. I started trying to do them as much as I could. I would do them all the time while I was working from home. But I found that because I needed to use all of my bodyweight for many of the exercises I would get really hot. It was in the dead of summer. So I first turned my thermostat way down. But soon I saw that my energy bills were sky high. So I looked into my other options. I could get a window A/C unit. Or I could try and get a ductless mini split or a ductless multi split. I could just buy a few fans. All of these were pretty cheap options and had upside and downside. I also looked into zoned HVAC. This would be more expensive, but would also be a home improvement. I called an HVAC professional and discussed my ideas and their opinion. In the end it was really just up to me and how much I was willing to spend. I knew that I had to make a decision, as the summer got hotter and hotter, and my cooling system was less and less effective. In the end I went for a window A/C unit.
