There are some people in this world who are simply more naturally gifted than others.
Some people are smarter than others, some people are stronger and faster than others, and some people are mediocre at all areas.
Unfortunately for me, I fall under the third category. From when I was growing up all the way until I was in high school I had always thought that I had a natural talent for fixing things. After I graduated I went to a trade school to become a certified HVAC repairman and found out the hard way that my talent was below average at best. What took other people in the course an hour to complete would end up taking me twice the amount of time, and I quickly found myself falling behind. My natural talent was nonexistent, but I was able to find out that I had something deep down that most people lack, the ability to keep working towards my goals despite failures. There were people that were much stronger than me and knew more about repairing heating and cooling units who would drop out at the first problem they faced. No matter how hard it got I made sure to never be one of those people to quit after being so close to my goal. After I had finished with my training I was able to get a job as a rookie HVAC repair tech in only a few weeks. I have now been working in the industry for a year and my skills have started to catch up to my work ethic which has been a powerful and efficient combination. It is only looking up for me now!
