When I was in school, I took one class called Agricultural Mechanics. In this class, you were taught how to do unusual things appreciate welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanics, and other helpful things. I never planned to go into a trade school, even though I figured the class would be helpful if I ever needed to repair something at our own house. One day, an HVAC professional came to our school to teach us how to repair something on our cooling system. While the HVAC professional told us that there was no way that we could learn how to repair everything in an cooling system in one day, he told us that he could show us how to change the capacitor on our cooling system, which needed to be done fairly often. He told us that if we ever had complications with our cooling system, you can call an HVAC professional and ask them to inspect your cooling system. If the problem was not the capacitor, you could have them repair your cooling system! But if the problem was the capacitor, these would be the steps you could follow! You started by turning off the electricity to the cooling system and then removing the safety panel off of the condenser. The capacitor looks appreciate a large battery, and once you remove the wires from them, you have to short out each prong with an insulated screwdriver. After replacing the capacitor, panel, and electric breaker, your cooling system will run appreciate new! Last week, I had to change the capacitor on our cooling system, and I saved a lot of currency doing it myself.
