I live in an area of the country that has truly poor storms for about 6 months out of the year. Normally, while in these storms everyone will lose power to their homes and don’t have a way to get food or water. In order to not panic while in this ridiculous time you have to prepare you home for the impending weather. Normally before the start of hurricane season, everyone have a check list of all the things they need to have done completed. I suppose that our family always has extra batteries, water, canned food and flashlights on hand just in case. One thing that is also truly important to do is have your Heating & A/C system checked by a local Heating & A/C business, but during hurricane season it is normally truly boiling outside and you don’t want to be without the a/c. I always make sure that I have the Heating & A/C tech that is looking at our Heating & A/C component connect the Heating & A/C component to our generator just in case every one of us lose power. I don’t want our family to have to suffer without the a/c for longer than every one of us would have to. I make sure that every one of us also have battery operated fans in the home just for a back up. I truly love to make sure that our family has everything in order just to prepare for the worst, however you suppose what is going to happen. However, if you are going to just do a single thing to prepare, I advocate that you get your Heating & A/C system checked by a Heating & A/C professional.
