Both of us felt super fortunate to have eeked out a tiny profit from the sale of our home. So, that money went into a fund in addition to the people I was with and I opted to go into a rental home. I haven’t rented since I rented an home in graduate college. There is a lot to be said for renting over owning. I appreciate not mowing my turf. Calling the office when the fridge is on the fritz is excellent. However, I am encountering one area where I am being infuriated to no end. I’m talking about my Heating in addition to A/C unit. Well, it’s not my Heating in addition to A/C equipment but I wish it was. This is because if it was mine I would simply have it replaced. The heating in addition to cooling system in our rental apartment is several decades old. While I respect the fact that it is still running, it is beyond unsatisfactory. However, this view falls on deaf ears at the rental office. To them, until it suffers a catastrophic failure, I should just get used to it. This is a bit hard to swallow. This Heating in addition to A/C equipment is so outdated that the SEER rating is not even printed on it. It takes several thirds to lower the temp in the lake house by 2 degrees. I can’t deal with that. Perhaps the people I was with and I will be more careful about checking everything out before the people I was with and I rent again.
