I’ll be the first to admit, my work place gets pretty crazy. It’s basically like a battle over the temperature control settings all the time. The other day for instance, my buddy left a coded note at my desk. When I read the coded note, it basically said to adjust the thermostat to 68 degrees and to watch out for the next person who was going to change the thermostat again. So I swiftly adjusted the thermostat and it was feeling nice when the air conditioning clicked on. It was only about 20 minutes later when another person went to change the thermostat settings again. My buddy threw a crumpled piece of paper at me, and it said to get to that thermostat and change it back ASAP. Sometimes, I feel like I don’t work at an actual office building. It’s honestly more like a high school. Everybody is always playing these childish games and people just won’t stop messing with the thermostat. With the rate everybody is going at it, I wouldn’t be surprised if the HVAC system broke down entirely. I’m pretty sure the boss gets regular maintenance taken care of, but that’s probably not enough with the way everybody goes at it with the constant changes on the thermostat. I think that eventually the boss is going to start yelling at everybody to not mess with the thermostat anymore. If it were me, I would put a lock on it or something to prevent this type of thing from happening. Honestly, it can’t be good for the utility bills at our place of work.
