My wife and I decided to buy a boat. We thought about buying a boat for a long time, before we actually went out to look for one. We knew exactly what we wanted. We wanted to find a pontoon style boat, with fiberglass pontoons instead of metal. We wanted to find a boat with room for sleeping. We couldn’t find exactly what we wanted, so we settled on a cuddy cabin boat. We had to buy a used boat, and the cuddy cabin didn’t have any type of climate control system. My wife and I knew we would take the boat out during the summer, and that meant having some type of A/C system. We did a lot of research to see what type of A/C systems work best on the boat. A lot of people suggested going with a portable A/C unit. The portable A/C unit would be able to move from our house to the boat, with a great deal of these. My wife and I decided that the portable A/C unit was the best way to go. We purchased a small portable A/C unit that also doubled as a dehumidifier. With the salty Ocean Air, both of us thought the dehumidifier function would work out great. My wife and I are planning our first overnight trip in a couple of weeks, and I can’t wait to see how well the boat does. The portable AC unit should keep us cool during the summer evenings, when both of us are trying to sleep.
